Abstract

From the Book: Foreword Over the years I've created a lot of Web sites: some of them to share information about topics that interest me, others to share pictures from weddings and vacations. I've even kept a public online journal of events in my professional life, with over 200 entries so far (www.bricklin.com/log). By now I've created hundreds of Web pages, using various versions of Trellix Web, the software from the company I founded in 1995, Trellix Corporation. Trellix Web was designed for creating Web sites that allow you to express yourself without learning the intricacies of HTML (the language Web browsers understand). For example, I can come home from attending a wedding and have a multi-page Web site completed to share what I experienced, with dozens of pictures from a digital camera cropped and captioned, all before I go to sleep that night. Trellix Web is easy to use. I know many people-who would not consider themselves computer experts-who sing its praises after just a few hours of use. But from my experiences with Trellix Web, I know that if you go a little further and master more of its features, you'll find that you have even more control over expressing yourself exactly as you wish. Like learning to drive instead of taking a taxi, the extra effort to learn pays great dividends in freedom. Corbin Collins has put together an engaging book full of examples and how-to instructions to help you become a "Trellix Web expert." You'll feel a sense of control over expressing yourself on the Web that you might have thought you could only get in printing to paper. Now it's your turn...all of us at Trellix are looking forward to seeing yoursite(s)! Dan BricklinFounder and Chief Technology OfficerTrellix CorporationConcord, Massachusetts
