Abstract
Washington State University is in Pullman, on the state's eastern border. It is Washington's land grant (state-operated) university, conducting basic and applied research and providing public service statewide. The university consists of 10 colleges and a graduate school. The Department of Teaching and Learning works primarily with preservice and in-service educators and emergent instructional designers. The program emphasizes the development of instructional media that often includes the design and production of digital instructional media. The Wazzu Widgets project is a project designed for students of instructional media production who have advanced digital production capabilities.
